Hands On

Yesterday in Animal handling we met in the classroom briefly as we went over what we would be performing that day and then headed out to the barn to get to work. We were ear tagging and vaccinating some kids, baby goats, and the orphaned lamb. Our injections included BoSe and CDT. BoSe is a vaccination that increases selenium amounts and vitamin E deficiency. CDT prevents over eating.

Here was our little patient; the orphaned lamb.

Here is one of the kids.

Look at that ear tag!

After processing the little ones, we went out into the barn and learned how to tie a butterfly knot and quick release knot.

Sarah has captured me!!!
