Today we got a tour of the Animal Science building where my animal handling class is. Even though I know my way around the barns from Show Cattle Team, but others in my class have not been in the barn before.
We got to see the cute little kids, baby goats, in the maternity room. They were born last week during the freezing cold weather and the barn managers and Dr. Kerns had to come in and thaw them out as they took them into the maternity room.
This was the cutest little guy ever!!
Here is the farrowing room where the sows are waiting to give birth. After the piglets are born we will be processing them. They are due next week at some time so you can probably expect some photos and stories next week.
