On Friday, Cassie had a prospective student that was doing an over night so we took her to the barns to give her a tour. At the horse farm we visited my handsome boy, Peanut, and some more of our favorite horses that weren't being used in the Regional show. After the western farm we headed over to the animal science barn. We went from pen to pen and room to room playing with all the different animals.
We said hi and played with Cassie's piglets. Cassie has her own piglets from her swine production class where they are assigned a sow for the semester and have to take data on her.
At one point while we were in the nursery I had a pig sucking on each of my fingers. These piglets were very social.
After the piglets we went and visited the goat kids, and then played with the dairy calves.
My favorite was this Holstein that was mostly white and very shy.
On the other hand, this little guy was licking everyone and everything he could.
