Second Day of Training

Hung out with the pigs for a little bit before they got fed.

Goats

Awaiting the arrival of a kid (baby lamb) before they start feeding and we start training.

Got to watch the kid be born, was so cool!

Halter breaking

Some of us had to play some tug of war with the calves!

I tied up three calves in nearly 5 minutes and then got stuck with the most stubborn one of them all that took nearly 20 minutes. All it wanted to do was lick the halter and then lick other cows. Uggh. Once I got the halter on he refused to move anywhere!
Problems of being a pre-veterinary student: what do you call a cow now? Is it still acceptable to say? Now that we know all the terminology for cattle, is it still acceptable to say cow? But cow means a mother, not just a generic term anymore, at least to us. So what do you call them? Cattle? Cows? Them?

Got to watch the sunset as we worked. I could do this forever!

One of the newly born calves. As of right now they are a little smaller than a dog. They are so cute!

Came back from working and went to workout and got this amazing view! Two guys trying to do a killer ab workout on the T.V. while I was riding my spinning bike.
