Not really. The fire alarms went off twice yesterday. Morgan and I had just woken up and were getting dressed when the first one went off. We were halfway down the stairs when we realized we should have grabbed our computers. So we ran back to our room and grabbed our backpacks and computers and left. As we were outside I was complaining on why they would have a fire drill so early, but actually it was 10:30. It just seemed early because I had just gotten up. Then after just falling asleep, getting warm and comfy and dreaming the fire alarms went off yet again at midnight. Really??? Apparently the school gives no warning of the fire drills, only to the teachers when there will be in an academic building. Because the school doesn't tell us when the alarms are going to go off you kind of have to assume it's a fire every time.
Yes, you should assume it is a fire every time. At least you don't have far to get out of the building. When I was in college I was visiting a friend in her dorm. The fire alarm went off and we had to walk 21 floors down to get out! Then 21 floors to get back to her room! Fun times! At least it wasn't a real one -relocating is not fun either!
