Basketball Done Well

Went to the men's basketball game yesterday afternoon and had a great time cheering them on.

The top not best play for this game had to be when the shortest guy on the team, Sean, got a fast break and was all alone in our part of the court. He was headed as if he was going to dunk, but he is way too short to do that so he stuttered a little and then went to make, what I thought to be, an easy right handed lay-up and missed!
I love cheering on this team! We won 72-65!

Snowball Fight

Negative degree weather and snow to 40s and rain in a matter of two days. All the snow is now melting and making lots of puddles and is now great packing snow. Findlay is also under a flood advisory.

Yesterday when me and a group of friends were walking to the dining hall from the fitness center in the dark we saw a bunch of guys having a snowball fight. I love snowball fights! So I made a snowball and casually joined in by throwing snowballs at the guys with their backs to us. Then as we approached the other side I threw a snowball at a guy that went running past and apparently he hesitated for a moment not knowing who or what hit him and then deciding whether or not to throw a snowball back at me. He did throw one back. I was laughing so hard along with all my other friends. Then I saw a track player approaching and it looked as if he had a snowball in his hand, so I quickly made a snowball and asked "is that a snowball in your hands?" He replied yes and then I threw my snowball at him. In return he chucked his and hit me in the hip. I love snowball fights and making trouble!

Second Day

So the second day of classes went by kind of smoothly. I had chemistry, english, calculus and animal handling. Chemistry was no different, since I'm taking it with the same professor as last semester. It didn't take long for everyone in the class to either be fighting to keep their eyes open, on their phones, or totally out of it. English was a totally different story though. I have now discovered just how football players are not the brightest peas in the pod. They may be good looking or sweet off the field, but they have got some work cut out for them in academics.
Our English teacher wanted us to write or draw out our writing process. So the football player asked if he could go up to the board and draw his picture for the class. This is what he drew...
The stick figure's face is colored in to make it clear that it was him. He would have colored it in if there had been a brown marker, but black had to do.

Ball Game Number 2

Cannot wait to head to the men's basketball game this afternoon! Hopefully it's exciting, but not as exciting as Thursday night's game and we come out with a win.

Too Much Excitement

All day I had been giddy with excitement in anticipation of the men's basketball game tonight. After a work out and some dinner we headed to an amazing game! What we didn't know was how great a time it was going to be...

There was this guy on the other team who had legs that couldn't be any bigger than my wrist! We all cringed when he would jump or fall expecting his leg to break like Kevin Ware.

It is an extremely close game and has been for most of the night. Nine seconds left and we are only up by one!

With .4 on the clock the other team is fouled and everyone lines up. First shot...miss, YESSS!!! One more shot...it's in. Were headed into overtime!!!!!!!

Neither I nor Sarah and the rest of the crowd could take all the excitement and nerves that was going on.

And the final score, with Mark making a lay up over three guys and being extremely lucky that it fell...

Oh and the not best play of the night had to be when Dylan had a fast break and was all alone in our half of the court and went up for a dunk. Dunked it and sadly enough it rolled back out after a few seconds. We were all screaming, but instantly we were all going "Awwwww" and shocked that the ball rolled back out. How can you do that?

First Day of Classes

First day went really well and I enjoyed seeing everyone again. The best part of my day was starting it off with Calculus and being back in a math class. Oh how I have missed math! Cannot wait to go back to class tomorrow. Then my only other class for the day was with the best teacher, Dr. Kerns, in Animal Handling. I cannot wait for what we are going to do in this class. Docking tails, processing piglets, castrating, de-horning and so much more! And why not do it with your best friend, Sarah?

An End to the Snow Days

Tomorrow is our first day of the second semester! I cannot wait, but at the same time I think I can. I'm glad that my chemistry lab got cancelled though, because my day would have started before 8, but instead were starting the day off with some Calculus II. I hope I don't regret saying "I miss math."
I will let you know how it all turns out.
