Our Saturday evening consisted of decorating Easter eggs for tomorrow's deviled eggs. All the kids gathered around the kitchen table as we got busy attempting to be creative in our decorating skills.
Easter morning we came downstairs to our Easter baskets filled with all types of goodies.
Sarah's younger brother Jon and Josh were in the Sunrise service so we went to church at 8 for that service then enjoyed a delicious breakfast afterwards put on by the church as we waited for the actual Easter service to start. Their church was so cute and the people were so nice. I had just walked through the door when I was getting hugs from everyone as they smiled and said how glad that they were that I was there that morning. The people were so nice!
After church we girls got some cute photos with the best angels around
After church we, Sarah and I, took the dogs a family walk around the block
It's time to feast!
All the food we ate was homemade and delicious. I found that Sarah's family really, really likes bacon. There was literally bacon bits on everything and I mean everything! On the pasta salad, beans, salad, potatoes and then we had the ham. They sure like their pig meat!
After our tummies were filled with the delicious meal, all the kids had an Easter egg hunt. Sarah has two other cousins that were with us at dinner too. I think I won the hunt:) Sarah was scaring me and making me nervous leading up to the hunt as she said that it was going to be WWIII. If you were going for the same egg as her then she would plow you over and get that egg, whatever it would take.
After all the eggs were emptied there was a little bit of an egg war, as we pelted eggs at each other.
She's so cute and an amazing girl!
Grandma's famous apple dumplings. That's Aunt Cindy cutting them
Grandma's apple dumpling with homemade ice cream couldn't be any more sweeter and filling. You really only need half of a dumpling and a small scoop of ice cream before you're ready to call it quits
